Fur Friends Summer Camp 2020

Pawmetto Lifeline receives regular inquiries from parents and grandparents about opportunities we may have for children who just love pets. Since we rescue and find forever homes for those kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs in our facility, surely there's something available for young people to interact with those furry friends.

YES!  Fur Friends day camp!!

Available Sessions

June 22-26,2020 (Ages 6-8): "Pet Helpers!"

Do you have a youngster that can't get enough of animals?! Does he or she want to learn more about caring for animals? If so, this is the perfect camp! Children will learn how to properly interact and extend care to cats/kittens and dogs/puppies as we utilize the adorable rescued fur-babies that are available for adoption here at Pawmetto Lifeline. Your child will learn what it means to be a responsible pet owner through age-appropriate lessons, which will include topics about pet rescue, the different breeds of cats and dogs, and some training tips along with fun arts and crafts projects. Campers will be visited by guest speakers from local organizations, such as local wildlife rescues, along with canine working dogs, and service dog handlers. We are excited to have new topics, so prior campers can experience something new with us!

July 20-24,2020 (Ages 9-12): "Animal Care 101" -

Animal Care 101 provides campers with an unforgettable experience interacting with and learning not only about the cats and dogs at of Pawmetto Lifeline, but also animals we find roaming in our community. Your child will learn about pet ownership, humane treatment of domestic animals, and about different roles our furry friends can have.
