Pet Food Pantry (Pet Soup)

Purpose: To provide pet food as an emergency resource to families in need in the Midlands. Providing these resources decreases the amount of animals surrendered to the local animal shelters.

Goal: Reduce pet overpopulation here in the Midlands and ensuring pet-owners have the access to spay and neuter services. Discounted spay/neuter appointments are offered to our Pet soup clients who reside in Lexington and Richland Counties.

Qualification: All applicants must be pre-approved prior to obtaining resources from Pet Soup.  Please contact Sara Jackson by e-mail, volunteer@pawmettolifeline.org or telephone, 803-465-9187 for more information on participating. You must also meet the following criteria:

  • Currently receive public assistance (Medicaid, disability, food stamps, TANF benefits, unemployment)
