Pet Food Pantry (Pet Soup)
Purpose: To provide pet food as an emergency resource to need families in the Midlands. By providing families in need with resources to feed their pet, it decreases the amount of animals surrendered to the local animal shelters
Goal: Reduce pet overpopulation here in the Midlands and ensuring pet-owners have the access to spay and neuter services. Discounted spay/neuter appointments are offered to our Pet soup clients who reside in Lexington and Richland Counties.
Qualification: All applicants must be pre-approved prior to obtaining resources from Pet Soup. Please contact Jillian Perry by e-mail, firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone, 803-465-9187. for more information on participating. You must also meet the following criteria:
- Currently receive public assistance (Medicaid, disability, food stamps, TANF benefits,unemployment)
- Have proper documentation that pets are spayed or neutered

Pet Soup is completely dependent on private donations, and we are very appreciative of monetary donations to help with administrative and transport costs, food donations, and volunteers. We accept donations of any brand of cat or dog food. If bags have been opened, please be sure they are taped securely shut. You may drop food off at Pawmetto Lifeline at 1275 Bower Parkway, Columbia, SC.
