The South Carolina Animal Advocacy Association (SCAAA) has been officially created to provide the accredited training our Animal Control and Law Enforcement officers need and deserve. The SCAAA lead the Midlands Animal Cruelty Task Force which includes representatives from the Midlands Solicitors Office, Animal Care and Control, Police Departments, Sheriff’s Departments and SLED. Pawmetto Lifeline's leaders believe the creation of the Association is the right step, as enforcement of local ordinances and state statutes are key to addressing the current issues with animal abuse, neglect and homelessness.
